Hanchett-Bartlett Homestead

Pendarvis Historic Site

The Hanchett-Bartlett Homestead is an 1857 Victorian farmstead is located in Beloit. This significant local treasure is in need of careful refurbishment and a compatible new use. Charles and his team are working with the Beloit Historical Society to develop a feasibility study to define a course of action so that this landmark becomes a functional, integral, and lively part of the fabric of Beloit for generations to come.


First Unitarian Society Meeting House

UW-Madison Mechanical Engineering Building

Charles is working with the Friends of the Meeting House to evaluate and design a new accessible entrance ramp for the Landmark Building. The goal is to provide universal design accessibility to the building while preserving and restoring original forms and features of the entrance.


UW-Madison: Adams Hall, Slichter Hall, Tripp Hall, and Elizabeth Waters Hall

UW-Madison Conrad Elvehjem Building

This project provides investigation and research, pre-design, and design services to replace exterior windows at four residence halls all with historic significance. The exterior envelope and windows will be evaluated to identify deficiencies, develop design solution alternatives, and recommend appropriate corrective. Charles is the historic preservation architect for the project.
